Scott Schiffner article - FULL RETRACTION

I sincerely apologize for the incorrect announcement I wrote and published in the Aug/Sept 2015 issue of Canadian Cowboy Country magazine announcing 2001 and 2012 Canadian Champion bull rider Scott Schiffner's retirement.

IT IS NOT TRUE and I take personal responsibility for the error. I apologize to Scott, his family, his parents, his many sponsors and all of Scott's fans.

Schiffner, who is currently sitting fourth (July 28, 2015) in the Pro Rodeo Canada standings with $16,972.58 in winnings, makes his home near Strathmore, Alta.

The Canadian bull rider that is retiring AFTER the Canadian Finals Rodeo in November, 2015 is 2008 Canadian Champion bull rider Tyler Thomson of Black Diamond, Alta.

How I got these two fine athletes confused is beyond me and again, I sincerely apologize.
