April 7, 2015 - The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association is pleased to announce that Kaitlyn Walker has been promoted to the position of Rodeo Administrator with Pro Rodeo Canada, effective immediately. The announcement came from CPRA General Manager, Dan Eddy.
Kaitlyn has been with the CPRA since 2009 when she came on board as a CRES operator. Her new duties will be in addition to her ongoing role as CRES Manager, a position she has held since the end of the 2010 rodeo season.
“I am excited that Kaitlyn’s strong work ethic and passion for the sport of rodeo are being recognized,” Eddy noted. “This promotion is proof of that.”
As Rodeo Administrator, Kaitlyn will handle the bulk of the correspondence and communications with the association’s rodeo committees, particularly as they relate to the operation of the rodeos.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of this new position,” Kaitlyn stated. “There’s a definite learning curve, but the CPRA staff and Board members have been very helpful and supportive and I’m eager to do all I can to help our association grow and move forward.”
Kaitlyn had already been performing some of the Rodeo Administrator functions over the last few months. She indicated that the application and enforcement of the rules of the sport, another important aspect of the position, will be a collaborative effort involving herself and other members of the CPRA staff and Board.
Pro Rodeo Canada (the CPRA) is the sanctioning body for Canadian professional rodeo and is responsible for overseeing and administering all aspects of the sport at the professional level in Canada. |
