FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Hell on Hooves going to the Gemini’s 2 years in a row!!
SEASON 4 in full production

August 3,2011 (Saskatoon) – Juxtapose Productions is heading back to Toronto for the second year in a row for the 26th Annual Gemini Awards Ceremony

Hell on Hooves has been nominated for two 2011 Gemini Awards. It is one of five productions nominated for Best General/Human Interest Series and producer/writer Doug Hudema is nominated for Best Writing in an Information Program or Series for  episode 5 “A Dangerous Game” which features the Ponoka Stampede. The awards will be presented at the Industry Gala on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 30 and 31, 2011 in Toronto.

This lifestyle documentary series that that follows the Bullriders on the Canadian tour was nominated last year in the same two categories and came away with the win for Best Writing.

“If someone would have said to me 4 years ago that we would be shooting our 4th season of this series I would have given them a funny look, but we have found a real niche in story telling” says Dennis Hrapchak, Executive Producer of the series, “the Cowboys have really allowed us into their lives, we get not only to talk about what they do for a living, but we get to go to a Cowboy wedding in one episode and then deal with some real health and injury issues like concussions in another”.

Series Synopsis
Ever wonder what it takes to get on top of 1500 pounds of a mean-spirited bucking bull? Or why anyone would want to be a rodeo bull fighter? Few sports can compare to that of bull riding or bull fighting.
The guys who ride and protect the riders are not just cowboys but are also professional athletes. Hell on Hooves takes an inside look at their lives… on the road and traveling the rodeo circuit. On the bull, or in front of it, these men put it all on the line, each and every rodeo.
