Ground Rules:
- SB, BB, BR, LBR: One full go-round with the top 10 progressing to the Finals on Monday August 1 @ 4:00pm
- Maximum 42 contestants in each roughstock event, if more than 42 contestants enter then the 2016 CPRA standings blended with the 2016 PRCA standings will be used to determine the draw outs.
- SW, TDR, TR: TWO FULL GO ROUNDS WITH FINALS. The second go round will be a reverse order of the times in the first go round, fastest times last.
- Trades may be made from a performance back in to the second round slack, as well as from one performance to another.
- $5,000 in each event will be held out for the Finals Short Go and split 40, 30, 20, 10
- Contestants who turn out of the finals must notify the rodeo office by 6pm on Sunday July 31. A $250 turn out fine will apply if the contestant fails to notify the local rodeo office by the specified time.
- Contestants who are a notified turn out or contestants who are unavailable at the start of the section of their event will be replaced by the next available contestant; next is defined by the 2016 Strathmore Stampede Standings.
- Contestants who are rolled into the finals due to turnouts must have a qualified ride/time.
- In all events the current Canadian Standings as of July 31st, 2016 will be used to break any ties for the top ten (10) contestants in the finals.
- BSR/NSB/NBB events will compete only on July 29 to 31, 2016. No cross entry from Novice to open events.
- BSR top two contestants after the first three perfs will ride in a challenge on Monday during the Finals perf for a $1,000 prize. The top two contestants must confirm with the Strathmore Stampede that they will be there on Monday to compete by 6pm on Sunday July 31. The Strathmore Stampede has the right to replace from the weekend standings any contestant that does not confirm.
- BSR Challenge competitors must ride the full 8 seconds to win the money.
