PROGRAM DESCRIPTION - Engagement of Rodeo Volunteers |
“Volunteers are the heart and soul of rodeo committees. As leaders, we have a responsibility to ensure
they are fully engaged in their volunteer efforts.” |
Volunteers are the heart and soul of rodeo committees. As leaders, we have a responsibility to ensure they are fully engaged in their volunteer efforts. Although research indicates that less than one-third of employees are truly engaged, we have found the statistics are true for volunteers as well. This problem of disengagement is a source of ongoing frustration for leaders of any organization. Not only does it irritate the leadership team, it demoralizes the productive volunteers who carry the majority of the work load.
In this convention program, we will spend time addressing several points, including: |
~ Introduction of the overall challenge and impact of volunteer disengagement on rodeo committees
~ The shared role of volunteers and leaders to overcome disengagement
~ The leader’s role in creating a culture of engagement
~ Introduction of the Engaged Leadership model
~ Discussion on the impact of generational differences on volunteer disengagement
~ Introduction of the Living for the Weekday model
~ Discussion of personal leadership and how we can personally drive engagement
~ Group discussions of tangible ideas to implement in your rodeo committee |
Get ready for an impactful session that will help raise the volunteer engagement in your rodeo committee! |
