Ground Rules

  • 7 Major events – Maximum of 75 entries per event.
  • If more than seventy five (75) contestants enter in the 7 major events the qualifications will be as follows:
  • Past and Present Canadian Champions
  • Past and Present World Champions
  • 2013 CFR Qualifiers
  • 2013 NFR Qualifiers
  • Top 30 in the 2014 CPRA standings as of June 10, 2014
  • Top 20 in the 2014 PRCA standings as of June 6, 2014
  • Full Cards
  • Semi Pro Members
  • Permits
  • The barrel racing pattern will be set up so the barrel racers enter the arena from the north end gate.  This is necessary to alleviate the possibility of an accident involving barrel racers and pedestrians trying to cross the track.
  • Portable pens set up beside trailers may not be larger than 10 feet x 10 feet
  • Contestants selected to be introduced each day as representatives of their event will participate either by riding into the arena from the south end gate or waving from the chute
  • Timed event contestants must stay behind the large gated until they are on deck and must vacate the arena immediately upon completion of their run.  This is necessary to allow the spectators in the south end of the grand stand to be able to see the timed events in an unhindered manner.
  • During performances the high score/fast time of the day for each event will be recognized with a victory lap.  Contestants are asked to participate.
  • Disrespect towards WLSA volunteers, committee members, or paid employees will not be tolerated
  • Due to heavy traffic and congestion during the rodeo, contestants are asked to park only in the infield area designated for contestant parking.
