Ground Rules:
- SB, BB, BR - maximum of forty two (42) contestants. If more than forty two (42) contestants enter in the rough stock events, the 2014 CPRA standings blended with the 2014 PRCA standings will be used to determine draw outs.
- The top ten (10) in each of the six (6) major events and team roping after 3 perfs will advance to the finals on Monday August 4
- $7,000 will be held out in each of 7 major events for the finals out of total purse money
- Four moneys will be paid in the short go. Split 40 - 30 - 20 - 10.
Turning Out of Finals
- Contestants who turn out of the Finals must notify the local rodeo office by Sunday Aug. 3, 2014 no later than 9:00 PM MT.
- A three hundred dollar ($300) turn out fine will apply if contestant fails to notify by the specified time.
- Contestants who are a notified turnout or contestants who are unavailable at the start of the section of their event will be replaced by the next available contestant; next is defined by the 2014 Strathmore Stampede standings.
- SB, BB, BR, TDR, SW, LBR, TR - Strathmore Stampede reserves the right to roll contestants into the Finals (to total 10 contestants) in the event of turnouts. In case of ties between 11 - 12 etc. tie breaker rules to decide the next contestant into the finals due to turnouts will be as follows:
- SB, BB, BR, TDR, SW, LBR, TR – the current Canadian Standings as of July 31, 2014 will be used to break any ties for the ten (10) contestants/event in the finals.
Contestant Information:
- Tough Enough to Wear Pink Sunday Aug. 3
- Calgary Stampede Novice Tour: All entry fees for the Novice Saddle Bronc, Novice Bareback and Boys Steer Riding will be paid by the Calgary Stampede. $750 of the added prize monies was added by the Calgary Stampede.
- Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team will be in attendance.
- Montana Silver Buckles in all events.
- Steer Riding Challenge – August 4. Top 3 from the Strathmore Stampede will be chosen to compete for $1,000.
