Ground Rules
1. No riders or running of stock in the arena a maximum of one and a half (1 ˝) hours prior to performance or slack start time.
2. Immediately following the slack, the arena must be cleared of all animals and contests.
Contestant Information
1. The Camrose Spring Classic Pro Rodeo will have a grand entry whereby it would be appreciated that contestants with horses participate.
2. C.R.E. Arena Hours:
Thursday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for contestants (with the stock contractor receiving priority).
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for pre-slack warm up and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for pre-performance warm up.
Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for pre-performance warm up.
Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for pre-performance warm up.
Other than the times listed, the building will be locked and off limits to contestants. No exemptions. Absolutely no riders (or running of stock) in the arena one and a half (1 ˝) hours prior to the performance or slack start time. Pre-performance warm ups: absolutely NO running of barrels or barrel patterns allowed.
3. Following each event, the day’s leader will make a victory lap around the arena. If contestant does not have a horse, the committee will supply them with one at that time.
4. No stalling available. Stalling is available at Dennis Gordeyko’s. It must be pre-arranged by calling (780)678-6237 or (780)672-5236.
5. Telephone: (780) 672-3640 and calls will be transferred to the rodeo office on site.
6. Order of events will be: Grand Entry/Opening, Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc, Tie-down Roping, Steer Riding, Intermission, Ladies Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding.
7. Following each event, the day’s leader will make a victory lap around the arena. If the contestant does not have a horse, the committee will supply one.
8. Concessions are available and will be open Friday morning if slack is required.
9. Dance Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m. – No minors. Contestants will be given free entry into the dance by showing their 2012 Membership Card.
10. No smoking anywhere in the C.R.E. facility
11. NO DOGS allowed in the arena at any time, nor are they to be running loose on the CRE grounds.
12. Contestant gates are located through the east gate off Exhibition Drive – allowing contestants’ access behind the arena. Entry to the arena is ONLY through designated doors on the WEST END OF THE BUILDING. NO SOUTHSIDE entry/exit doors are to be used. This applies for slack as well.
13. Contestant’s entry door is located on the WEST end of the Building (small overhead door). No entry will be allowed through any other doors.
14. CPRA/PRCA 2012 membership cards must be shown to security at contestant door. If cards are not available – contestants MUST produce PICTURE ID in order gain access. NO EXCEPTIONS. Any card holders (with the exception of Hall of Fame and CPRA Gold Card Members) wanting complimentary passes MUST enter through contestant door – no comped passes will be issued at the main doors and you will be turned away and directed to the contestants door.
15. As per the C.P.R.A. rulebook, only one (1) companion is allowed with contestant at the door and a companion pass must be produced.
16. All companions will be issued a seat ticket to Section H only. All seats are assigned. There will be no exceptions to this rule. The only alternative will be to purchase a full price ticket at the main door. Security will be checking tickets in order to comply with this rule.
17. C.R.E. compound, shop, U.F.A. Pavilion and Barn A are off limits to contestants.
18. Sports Medicine will be on site for the entire rodeo.
