Q&A with - Ty Ellis, Sonningdale, SK
November 13 - Split first place in the boys steer riding with Shay Marks.

CRN: What was going on in your head coming out of those chutes today?
Ellis: I was pretty excited. I'd been on the cow before at Calgary Stampede and I rode her then too. She was pretty well the same. She threw a few different tricks though, but it was good. She jumped pretty high a couple of times, then circled around towards the chutes and I started spurring, the whistle went and I jumped off.
CRN: Being your first CFR, how did you feel leading into this week?
Ellis: I had a little adrenaline going.
CRN: And now that you're here?
Ellis: It's been a pretty fun week so far.
CRN: Anybody helping you out behind the chutes?
Ellis: My dad and Dustin Flundra have been helping me out each night.
CRN: Does Dustin give you any pointers?
Ellis: Yeah, clear your mind, be ready. |
